Fr Jonathan Eades
It is with great sadness that we learnt of the death of Fr Jonathan Eades, former rector of the Wolstanton team, shortly after Christmas. There will be a Sung Requiem Mass for Fr Jonathan at St Margaret's Wolstanton at 7.30pm on Wednesday 30th January. All are invited to attend. There will be no 7pm Eucharist at St Andrew's that evening

St Andrew's PCC
St Andrew's PCC meets this Wednesday evening, after Mass, in church.
Mothering Sunday Flowers
If you would like to make a donation towards the cost of the flowers for Mothering Sunday, please place it in the dish on the font on a Sunday morning. Thank you.
The basic Safeguarding Training for all PCC members and those who work with children or vulnerable adults will be led for us by the Rev'd Sharon Greensmith on Saturday 26th January, 9.30am, at St Barnabas' Church. This training is a requirement, and can also be done online if you cannot attend the day in person. Please speak to Fr Chris if you would prefer to do the online training. Thank you.
Ash Wednesday this year is on March 6th. Please bring your palm crosses into church as soon as possible, so that the ash can be prepared for that day.
Sylvia Kenny is organising a London Weekend trip to leave Brunswick Street Newcastle at 8.00am on Saturday 2nd February 2019 returning at approximately.30pm on Sunday evening 3rd February. The one night stay including breakfast at the Tower Hotel will cost £109 based on 2 sharing this will include all coach travel. Please contact Sylvia on 01782 635799 for further information.
Young People's Group
We are looking to start a new group for the young people of our two churches which would meet on a Sunday afternoon/evening once a month. This would be a joint enterprise for our parishes, to support our young people and their faith journeys. We are looking for two or three people who would be willing to work with the clergy on this; if you feel this may be something that God is calling you to, please speak to Fr Chris.
Bingo at “Barnies”
Bingo sessions are held at St Barnabas’ every Tuesday afternoon between 1.30pm and 3.15pm. The cost is £1 entrance which includes refreshments and a raffle plus a cost of £1 per book of 6 games. Why not come along and enjoy a game of “singalong” bingo with us! We will make you very welcome. Hope to see you soon.
2019 Sanctuary Donations
The 2019 Sanctuary Donations book is now ready. Would those who would like their loved ones remembered at either the date of their death, or birthday or any other special anniversary please record their names etc., against the nearest Sunday to that date. The donation towards the Sanctuary Lamp should be given to the Treasurer Kerry Parsons.
Chain of Prayer
In February and March any names to be added to the Chain of Prayer for healing should be phoned to Hilary Dale (07557 501864).
St Barnabas 100’s Club
Linda Rowley is looking for more members of the 100’s club at St. Barnabas. Members are included in a monthly cash draw and contribute greatly to the work of the church. Anyone interested can contact Linda on 01782 866433. Thank you.The Rainbows.
